May I present to you our Spottie

Finally, we have some pictures of Spot. Isn't he cute but don't be mesmerized by his innocent appearance and pity camera face as he turned out to be quite a naughty guy. Yesterday while we allowed him to wander around the garden, he found a spot, dug the soil and uprooted some of my flowers. Last evening I saw him standing near our fish pond with its paw at the edge of the pond, something fishy is playing in his mind. He is into biting every little thing that moves, I guess it's time to discipline him...
"Am I a cow or a puppy, help I'm confused!!"

Camera shy... "go away"

Sit boy, sit... good boy

Mummy's finger is finger licking good

"Help, the step is too big for me"

"Hi, I'm shy"

New Addition to The Family!

Yeap, confirmed! We have a new addition member to the family! Hmm..... we are proud to present to you our latest member to the Ling Family, slightly over a month old by the name of Spot. Yeap Spot is his name. Yeah, you got it right; Spot is the little puppy we adopted last Sunday from a colleague of mine. I've yet to confirm his breed but one thing for sure he's sure a cutie and for the past two days becoming "nottie" as well. Hubby and I were waken up at 4.00 something in the morning for two consecutive days, first day due to his "weaning" and this morning a 911 rescue call as he has landed himself in a 2 feet depth drain at our backyard. No turning point as we've already got ourselves into this sticky situation. The whole family unanimously agreed to the idea and had openly declared our commitment.

I'll upload some of his pictures later. At the mean time the sheltered backyard will be his home, we hope to toilet train him and set a routine for his businesses when he's more ready, at the mean time we simply enjoy his company (when we are not being awaken unnecessarily)and hope he will be manageable (if not how?? open for adoption??). The kids simply adored him and we thought it's a good time to teach them about ownership and responsibility (if that materialiized) else additional work for MIL, hubby and I. So Spotty, you better be good we hope to have you for a long time.

Before I was a Mum

I received below write-ups through an e-mail this morning and I believe it echoes the little thoughts of most of the mummies out there. To all awesome mummies out there “Blessed Mother’s Day”, to those who are not a mother yet, take this opportunity to express your love to this wonderful woman of your life, to those who have lost their mother, recollect those special memories you have had with her.

Before I was a Mum,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mum,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mum,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mum,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mum.

Before I was a Mum,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mum,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mum.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mum

Now that I’m a mum I can totally relate to the author’s thoughts. Have a wonderful week ahead.
